Sewta submitted its first Regional Transport Plan (RTP) to the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) in December 2009. The RTP was prepared in accordance with WAG guidance and is the product of extensive consultation, listening to the views and ideas of stakeholders, partners and the public.
The RTP is a statutory plan which sets out an integrated and sustainable transport strategy for South East Wales. The plan includes
The Sewta RTP was approved by the Minister for Economy and Transport in January 2010 and following submission of a capital programme for 2010/11 implementation began in April 2010.
